The CRF450R. What more can be said about this best-selling MX-er that won every moto—a perfect 24 for 24—in the 2004 AMA 250 Nationals? Start with the fact that for 2006 it returns even more agile and versatile, with revised engine location in the frame and a lower center of gravity for quicker, sharper handling, plus new ignition and carburetor settings. And then get set to dominate—all over again.

All I can say is what an improvement. Honda hits it on the head with the 2006. They addressed some of the issues, and worked out the kinks. Out of the box, this is probably one of the most powerful 450\'s on the market. I absolutely love the power delivery, performance, and feel. The suspension for the first few rides is very stiff and takes some break-in time. We have also noticed that steering, although improved from earlier years, the forks still need to be raised a little to get it dialed. On the down side the front tire and chain are junk, and some of Honda\'s wrenching/torqing techniques are less than desired. Going over all bolts, steering stem nut, and spokes are a must. I have had numerous riders that ride the competition throw a leg over and find themselves amazed at the performance...

I\'ve had my CRF for almost 9 months now, used primarily for MX. This is probably the best bike I\'ve ever ridden. The power is abundant, but managable. The few complaints I do have are minor. First of all the front tire is terrible. I haven\'t found anything it works well in. My only other complaint is the well documented issues with the airbox. All in all, it\'s more than enough bike for me.
