Vintage dirt bikes are classic masterpieces, which are models of today’s modern dirt bikes. There are several models of these unique dirt bikes that are of extraordinary built and would quite delight our vintage bike collectors and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts out there.

Here are some of these vintage dirt bike models and their remarkable histories:

BMW Big Beemer – The Big Beemer dirt bike is a huge 375-pound-plus Boxer Twins, piloted by three equally huge German dirt bike riders during the Open (over 750 cc) Class at the 1973 International Six Days Trials (ISDT). This old dirt bike was supposedly built so that BMW could take advantage of the said activity.

BSA Gold Star - Among the classic dirt bikes, this one received extensive modifications to make it competitive enough. Ohlins shocks and late mode YZ forks were added to the body parts. Compared to other timeless dirt bikes, its exhaust system was hand-fabricated and has a megaphone with Super Trapp silencer. Modern iron dirt bikes would be a match for its foot of suspension travel at both ends.

Chevy V-Twin – The V-Twin may be one of the remarkable dirt bike classics that started out as a standard small block 350 cubic inch Chevy motor. This dirt bike’s builder simply cut back two cylinders off in order to make it his very own Chevy V-Twin. Other adjustments were then made and added. Though the classic dirt bike’s parts were dirt cheap, they were reliable and surprisingly, the adjustments can be noted to create a wild vintage bike motor.

1989 Yamaha XT600 – this timeless piece of dirt bike has been converted to a Big Wheel for the winter season since it did not have enough motor or suspension. Its features are convertible, since it can be a normal motorcycle in about two hours. But come winter, this becomes the BW 600 vintage dirt bike.
