The S-12 use to be my favorite tire. I ride the enduro circut here in Texas. Since Michelin started making these tires in Tailand or where ever they are made now I have noticed the tire does not last long and it chunks quickly. I just got done with 3 rides on my rear S-12 and it is toasted and it is chunked badly. I am not a super fast guy and my old S-12 lasted a full race season. So something has changed about the way this tire is made. I will no longer pay the higher prices for the Michelin\'s because they don\'t last. I just purchased the new Maxxis SI tires and will see how they work out.
