The Honda CRF450R is currently leading the Big Bore 4 Stroke Motocross shootout with an average rating of 3.8 out of 5.  One reviewer commented, "They addressed some of the issues, and worked out the kinks. Out of the box, this is probably one of the most powerful 450's on the market."

The Yamaha YZ450F lags behind with 2.6 of 5.  The newest release from Yamaha seems to yield to the CRF in engine characteristics according to this reviewer, "I'm not a fan of the underperforming engine, and difficulty initiating a turn."

Still waiting to enter the race is the KX450F.  This bike had what seemed to be a stranglehold on the AMA Supercross, but hasyet to leave it's mark in the motocrossreview.com 4 Stroke Shootout.

RM-ZInching closer to the CRF is the RM-Z 450.  3.8 out of 5 is a great average for any 450, and it seems clear why the GOAT has chosen Suzuki to finish out his career. Stars
