What more can you say about the RM-Z. Ricky didn't have any problems with it this year. When you can lap the entire field in a AMA National race, you are doing something right. I've spent some time on the web trying to find any reports of reliability issues with the RM-Z. While there is always going to be some idiot that never changes the oil or clean the air filter, the RM-Z seems to be a VERY well built machine. The first thing you'll need to do though is get rid of that hideous blue seat!

The bike handles great and has plenty of usable power. It did seize the crank rod bearing at 120 hours though. I do replace oil, filter, clean air filter, etc. really often, so I don't thing is a maintenance issue and ride it much slower than pros so I guess it isn't an operational issue neither. Now, I'm looking at replacing connecting rod kit, sleeving the cylinder (yea it's gone too), piston kit ans all gaskets, 'cause if I just go ahead and buy everything OEM'n new it'll be way more expensive. My guess on the rod failure is a product issue.
