Description

Stand For Something! I'm sure you've all seen the David Bailey video pleading for riders to wear the Leatt. This is something I've been waiting for. Nascar has the Hans device.

I know when my kids ride they will be required to wear neck protection. There have been far too many spinal injuries this year. Hopefully the Leatt will reverse the trend.

We bought our son the neck brace when they first came out, yes it was costly like all motocross gear. Thats the price you pay for the quality of life (or no life) you want. At a race several years ago he crashed and the brace actually broke. Better the brace than his neck. We bought replacement parts and resumed riding. Last year he crashed and even with the neck brace sustained three neck fractures. Doctors said the brace saved his life as his neck would have snapped and we would be making funeral arrangements instead of paying hospital expenes. I would rather pay hospital expences and have my son. Luckily, there was no damage to the spinal cord and he wore a neck brace for 6 months. We gave up motocross. Life is to precious.

We actually know someone who had an accident in practice, he landed with all his weight on his head. There was a 3-4 inch hole knocked in the top of his helmet and the corner of his brand new Leatt brace was cracked. He got up, cranked his bike and rode off. We ordered our son a Leatt brace the next day, just waiting for it to arrive!! As a mom, I know that I will feel better when he rides.
